Cape Fear ranked high while we were reviewing the Yelp ratings for seafood restaurants. My wife ordered the Figure 8 stuffed flounder, and I chose the special: a golden tailfish served with risotto cakes and apple slices. The fish was excellent—sweet, flaky, and cooked to perfection. I also ordered the mussels as an appetizer and had to ask our server for more bread so the broth wouldn't go to waste. Our server was fantastic, efficient, and attentive. It may have been one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Truly incredible. ”

“ My family and I decided to give this restaurant a try on Dec 28, 2024, while we were having a family day in Wilmington. When we arrived, I was a bit worried about pulling up to a small strip mall type of building with a seafood restaurant in the middle of it all. It turned out to be a really great experience!! The atmosphere was very calm and inviting with a friendly staff. We were seated quickly within our reservation time, and the server was very helpful, informative, and attentive. The hushpuppy appetizer was "o.k.", which then had me thinking this was going to be a huge mistake. When the Clam Chowered came to the table... we were beyond satisfied!! The flavor was amazing!! Everyone at the table LOVED the Clam chowder. My daughter and I had the Chefs Dinner Special of the day, and the food was delicious!! Everything was seasoned perfectly and cooked to the proper temperatures. Nothing was underseasoned on those two dishes. Our other daughter had the Shrimp Scampi with linguine pasta, and she loved it very much. As a very picky eater (she is a teenager), she was very pleased with the flavor and amount of food on the dish. My wife had the crab cake dinner, and again, it was also seasoned and cooked perfectly. It is very rare for us to eat dishes like these without something over/under cooked or not seasoned well, but the Cape Fear Seafood Company restaurant knocked this one out of the park!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND trying this restaurant out, and we will be returning for another meal in the future!! ”

“ Huge menu. Amazing cocktails. Loved their clam chowder. They serve warm bread and butter with your meal. I ordered the catch of the day mahi blackened with their white sauce. My husband got their stuffed flounder. We were both impressed with the food. It’s pretty kid friendly with a kids menu and crayons. Not too fancy inside and the prices are reasonable for how many awards they’ve received. Great place to check out! ”
